I lecture and conduct workshops on Native American topics. Several of these, including the medicine wheel and medicine shield workshops, are deeply associated with animals. I have observed that virtually everyone playing these workshops is familiar with the word "animal totem." So, I please take a pole of how they understand a why word, totem. When I ask the question, there isn't any shortage of raised hands. Interestingly, there is also an identical way to obtain muddled, made-up answers which might be nowhere near accurate.

Understandably, everyone is outraged that runners involved with killing the strays and unwanted animals in Manatee County are so unfeeling and uncaring. At least those shown in the photos seem. A call for the shelter was met with "We're banned from commenting on that." A call to Nick Azzara, the "Information Outreach Coordinator," was met with a response of "Will respond with statements today." A message still existed for Betsy Benac, a commissioner at large in Manatee County. No one there has actually addressed this horror except to allegedly take away the camera through the kill room to ensure nobody knows what goes on while animals are killed. Many people have faith and think that when they shuffle off this mortal coil they'll be in heaven. Faith applies to the belief that individuals will probably be reunited with your precious pets conversely. St. Francis of Assisi is honored from the Catholic Church as the patron saint of animals. Why would there certainly be a saint for animals if there were not only a soul or spirit to the telltale precious creatures
